We are Spark, a community-centered charity located in Burntwood, Staffordshire, founded in the summer of 2015 by passionate local individuals dedicated to supporting families and nurturing our community. At Spark, we prioritise the well-being of families by offering a wide range of services and activities aimed at providing support, fostering friendships, and creating opportunities for personal and communal growth.
Our initiatives include food support, friendship networks, and volunteering opportunities, all designed to strengthen the bonds within our community. We collaborate closely with other local organisations and initiatives to amplify our impact and provide diverse opportunities for building brighter futures.
Our community and children’s centre serves as a hub catering to different age groups and interests, from pregnancy and baby support to preschool activities and parenting workshops. Our vibrant timetable features weekly and monthly gatherings, as well as one-off events, many of which are free or low-cost, ensuring accessibility for all members of our community.
At Spark, inclusivity is key. We offer specialised groups for grandparents, dads, single parents, young parents, and those facing challenges like postnatal depression, along with a range of activities promoting well-being and personal development. Our outdoor play area provides a natural space for children to explore and learn.
Beyond activities, Spark also provides courses and training opportunities, empowering individuals to enhance their skills and contribute meaningfully to our community. Our dynamic volunteer team welcomes new members, offering opportunities for involvement and personal growth.
Whether you’re a newly pregnant parent seeking guidance, a family looking for support, or simply someone eager to engage with your community, Spark is here for you.
