Today we celebrate International Women’s Day and the incredible women who make Spark the welcoming, supportive place it is.
Spark was founded by women, and today we continue to be supported by so many amazing women – from our staff and volunteers to the mums, grandmothers and carers who walk through our doors each week.
Women play a huge role in shaping the compassionate community that Spark is known for. Their leadership, kindness and everyday acts of support make a real difference to families across our community.
This year’s International Women’s Day theme, #GiveToGain, really reflects what we see every day at Spark. Women give their time, encouragement, skills and care – and in return gain connection, confidence, friendship and support. That spirit of lifting each other up is at the heart of everything we do.
We’ve shared a collage of some of the wonderful women who support Spark, but we know there are many more who may be behind the scenes, busy helping others, or cleverly avoiding the camera! Whether you’re pictured or not, we see you and appreciate everything you do.
We’ll also be marking the occasion in our International World Wide Women group on Thursday 12th March, with time to come together, celebrate and support one another. Everyone is welcome to join us – we’d love to see you there.
